My Baptist Heritage
This blog is not strictly about being a Baptist. I merely picked the name since it says where my roots are. I believe an open mind is not anathema to strong convictions. If you don't know who you are, how can you know what you are. Open discussion on differing points of view is the spice of life and we should love one another not simply because we see ourselves in others, but because of Whose children we are.

Wanna-be Pagans
I talked to a guy recently who claims paganism as his religion. When I asked him about it, he could hardly wait to stretch his t-shirt out of shape to show me the pentagram tattoo on his chest.
I asked him straight up if he doesn't believe Jesus is God's Son. He said he doesn't. (That always sends chills up my spine.)
Mostly, this guy, young fellow at that, seems to enjoy the attention that goes with being "different". Next year, he'll probably be a Muslim.
